This APC CS model has a solid koa body, back and sides and the fingerboard is in black African wood. The koa is a species of acacia native to Hawaii, giving it an identity and personality very close to the original instruments.

The appearance of this ukulele benefits from the natural characteristics of the wood, giving it an organic appearance, with the veins and lines serving as a natural decoration on the top and sides, darker for a beautiful effect contrast. The binding that helps to highlight the body contour is in embedded maple.

The concert ukulele was created in the 1920s, as a modification of the traditional format. The body is larger than the soprano model, which gives it a slightly more serious and full sound. It has a longer neck and a larger scale, with more frets and a greater spacing between them. Otherwise, it is played in the same way and even the tuning is the same: A4 - E4 - C4 - G3.

The ukulele descends directly from the Portuguese cavaquinho, taken by Portuguese sailors to the American Pacific islands to musically animate the crews on their long voyages.

It became a very popular instrument in the early decades of the twentieth century, kept American soldiers in the barracks of World War II, and saw a resurgence in its popularity in recent years, thanks largely to its adoption by many indie bands and some international music stars.
