This Vandoren SR2115 reed is designed to produce extremely pure sound quality due to a very fine vane tip (the area of the reed that exhibits the maximum vibration), balanced with a solid spine (greater amount of reed in the rising area gradually).
The traditional reeds have the finest tip, with the thickest "heart", resulting in a living articulation of full and dark sonority.
