Description

The Gretsch® G9126 ACE guitalele is the electro-acoustic version of the popular G9126 model,  much appreciated by guitarists looking for a ukulele sound.

Now you can have the ukulele sound in guitar format with a very special model from the Roots Collection. The Gretsch® G9126 ACE guitalele offers the best of these two instruments in a high-quality model.

Gretsch created the Roots Collection to retrieve the style and spirit of acoustic instruments from bygone eras, using modern manufacturing techniques to create models that are timeless in look and sound. The guitalele Gretsch® G9126 ACE is an instrument for those who need to reliably amplify their sound, while maintaining the acoustic characteristics and natural timbre.

The body of the Gretsch® G9126 ACE is shaped like a tenor ukulele, with a large case for greater resonance and presence. It is constructed entirely of mahogany, with a finish that lets the natural texture of the wood stand out. The 19-fretted scale is in ovangkol, an African wood similar to rosewood that shares many of its tonal characteristics, widely used for its acoustic properties and great environmental sustainability.

Despite all its natural characteristics that already give it a great sound, it can be connected to an amplification system through the Fishman Kula preamp. It comes with built-in tuner, volume, treble, mid and bass buttons to set the sound to your liking and keep it under control.

As the Gretsch® G9126 ACE has six strings like a guitar but the tonality of a four-string ukulele, the tuning is done from low A to high A, in guitar equal intervals, making it perfect for guitarists who can apply to logic and chords from your main instrument to this very original and fun instrument.

Features of this guitalele include a 17" fingerboard and convenient cutaway, Fishman® Kula pickup system and preamp, solid mahogany top, mahogany back and sides, one-piece mahogany neck, 19-fret ovangkol fingerboard with “snowflake” position markers, bone nut, ovangkol easel, bone comb, Grover® Sta-Tite ™ tuners and a luxury bag.

The G9126 is available in Honey Mahogany Stain with a semi-gloss "open pore" finish.

The guitalele, due to its dimensions, is ideal for starting the youngest on the guitar or to take on a trip, to have it handy in a festival tent or to practice and develop the technique of more advanced musicians. The different tuning opens up interesting possibilities for creating new sounds in your music solo or in conjunction with traditional guitars.

Gretsch was born in 1883, in a small music store in Brooklyn, opened by a young German emigrant named Friedrich Gretsch, who mainly sold banjos, mandolins and percussion instruments. Today it is one of the most respected instrument brands in the music industry and is a favorite of many influential musicians.

If you are looking for a professionally capable instrument, ready for the stage, the guitalele Gretsch® G9126 ACE is the ideal choice to broaden your sound and musical palette, with total mastery of your sound.
