The body of the Jackson JS2P Spectra Bass is solid poplar, with a poplar top for aesthetic effects, highlighting the wood knot details that gain a new aesthetic dimension with the high-gloss Blue Burst gradient finish, which ranges from blue to dark blue.

The body's offset design helps distribute weight evenly across the instrument, providing perfect balance and less strain on your back during longer playing sessions.

The neck is also maple, with a very comfortable profile. The 34-inch fretboard is in laurel, and the 24 jumbo frets provide speed, definition and comfort.

The Spectra Bass JS2P offers a unique sound for unique bassists and musicians who enjoy sonic versatility. Whether funk, hard rock or gospel, the Jackson J-style bridge pickup and P-style neck pickup deliver a range of punchy bass with distortion or clean tones, easily refined and adjusted with the mix, bass boost and volume controls.

They can switch between passive or active mode with the push/pull switch to bypass or activate the active circuit for bass boost. Just pull the volume knob to switch out of the active loop and into passive mode, which ensures you always sound great even if the battery fails.
