Gretsch Guitars
Gretsch is a company with over 135 years that has always prioritized production based on skilled labor, always maintaining a commitment to quality. It has pioneered a number of projects and manufacturing techniques, including Chet Atkins, Eddie Cochran, Billy Duffy, Bono, Duane Eddy, George Harrison, Brian Setzer, Stephen Stills, Neil Young and Malcolm Young.
In 1883 Friedrich Gretsch, a 27-year-old German immigrant, founded a store in Brooklyn, New York, and began making banjos, drums, and tambourines.
Grestsch always belonged to the family, but in late 2002 an agreement was made with Fender Musical Instruments Corp. to start manufacturing and distributing the Gretsch guitars, allowing the Gretsch sound to be heard all over the world.
